Dear Madam/Sir

Maybe, just maybe, I was uncharacteristically pessimistic in the last newsletter! Subsequent indicators are now showing South Africa expected to grow at 3,2% during 2010 rather than the more paltry 2,3% that was on the cards at the beginning of the year. This is very good news and we can now see it being underpinned by better confidence in our customer base and increasing economic activity. This would be a great time to be wrong!

I am always delighted when our staff take the initiative to spearhead a new product offering or increase our revenue base with existing customers. This is clearly demonstrated in the article below at the launch of our new bonded warehouse facilities in Cape Town. My congratulations to those involved in getting it off the ground. I look forward to many more such innovations.

I have so many exciting new developments to share with you all that I have to bite my tongue and wait for them to reach the ‘Go’ stage. But without a doubt the next few months will allow us to reveal that Sturrock’s really is on the move and determined to make an impact within the industries in which we operate as well as in respect of our overarching footprint. Rest assured that all will be revealed in due course.

With kind regards
